This multi-cache is designed to be
attempted riding a Mountain Bike. Much of it covers single
track trails where a quad or jeep will not fit. The route is
designed not to be overly technical nor strenuous, but to be
fun to ride even for the beginner cyclist.
This multi-cache is composed of seven stages and the final
placed along a route. The route is defined by this cache's
additional waypoints. Waypoints were chosen to help direct the
rider from trail to trail and also to give a feeling of confidence
for being on the right trail. It is recommended to create a route
on your GPSr to follow using these waypoints. Whether you choose to
create a route or not, be sure to save the waypoints in your GPSr
since some of the clues will be based on these waypoints. For
example, a clue might be, to find the next clue, add 0.012
minutes to the latitude and 0.023 minutes to the longitude of
waypoint 06. The posted coordinates are meant to be the end of
the route, so don't start there, but instead start at the first
waypoint, which is where the first stage can be found.
The seven stages are orange waterproof match containers
containing strips of paper. Each strip has the clue to find the
next stage. You are welcome to take a strip with you so you won’t
need to write the clue down. The final cache is an ammo box.
