Als Kind erzählte man mir die Geschichte, dass eine Reiter samt Pferd von den Felsen dieses Berges gestürzt sei. Ihm zu Ehren wurde dort ein Holzkreuz errichtet (mittlerweile aus Edelstahl). Ob man der Geschichte Glauben schenken mag oder nicht: Es gibt auf dem Berg recht steile Felsabhänge, also bitte sehr gut aufpassen wohin man tritt!
Um zum Cache zu gelangen empfehle ich folgenden Weg:
Parkt zunächst bei N50°39.779 E11°9.209. Geht dann entlang der Straße in Richtung des Caches, über eine Wiese und einen kleinen Bach. Nun müsst ihr irgendwie den recht steilen Berg hinauf. Der Cache befindet sich in einer interessanten Höhle, welche etwas tiefer als das obere Gelände liegt. Nahe der Höhle ist ein markanter Baum mit Schnitzereien im Stamm (siehe Spoilerbild). Aufgrund der Bäume und des Geländes ist der Empfang dort etwas schlechter, weshalb die angegebenen Koordinaten vom Cacheversteck leicht abweichen könnten.
Früher gab es einen direkten Weg hier herauf, welcher jetzt jedoch leider durch Privatgrundstück führt (deshalb diese komplizierte Wegbeschreibung).
Unweit vom vom Cache befinde sich eine Hüttte mit einem sehr schönen Ausblick auf die Ortschaft Allendorf.

When I was young some people told me a story about a horsemen, who has fallen from this rock together with his horse. In his honor a wooden cross was set on the rocks (meanwhile it's a stainless-steal cross). Believe this story or not, but please be careful in the final area, because the flanks of this hill are very cliffy.
I suggest the following way:
There is a parking place at: N50°39.779 E11°9.209. Go along the street towards the cache. Then you have to cross a meadow and a small creek. Now you have to find a way on top of the rampant hill. The cache is hidden in an interesting cave, which is is little bit lower than the upper surrounding area. There is a distinctive tree near this cave (spoiler picture). Because of the trees and the terrain the radio reception might be bad, so the given coordinates could differ a bit.
It's recommendable to visit this cabin and the other cross too, because there is a spendid view over the village. In the past there was a direct way to this point, but unfortunately now it's private ground. (therefor this complicated route :-)
