Located on the North Peak of Bauneg Beg in Sanford, ME. This cache is a small lock and lock container and was initially stocked with plastic animals.
During 1933-1934, Chicago, IL (My home town!) hosted a Worlds Fair in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the incorporation of the city in 1833. This Fair was called "A Century of Progress" (Hence the name of this cache). Although most of the structures from that fair were long gone, a few buildings are still being put to good use. For example, the Adler Planetarium, the John G. Shedd Aquarium, and the Field Museum of Natural History still occupy the site of the fair and use some of the original structures. I spent many a happy day during my youth at these museums, and I still have many fond memories of them.
In any case, this cache is my 100th hide. This clearly has nothing to do with the name of the cache.
