This is part of my new "Endangered Species" series of caches designed to bring awareness of a few of the hundreds/thousands of endangered animal species on our planet, most of them in trouble due to humans.
Calaby's Pademelon (Thylogale calabyi), also known as the Alpine Wallaby, is a species of marsupial in the Macropodidae family. It is endemic to Papua New Guinea. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forests, dry savanna, subtropical or tropical dry shrubland, and subtropical or tropical dry lowland grassland. It is threatened by habitat loss.
