Renewable energy has made its way to Lena, IL. The EcoGrove Wind Farm is a 7,000 acre wind farm, which began in 2006 will be finished in early 2009. When finished the 67 new wind turbines will generate enough clean energy to power 25,000 homes. On a clear day, you can see all of them from this location.
Cache is hidden near the highest point in Stephenson County west of Lena. Cache is not in the cemetary, but close to it. Follow the small gravel road to cemetary. There is no sign to it. After loggin in, take a stroll up the hill to get a good look at the wind farm.
