The Twelve Days of Christmas are the festive days
beginning on December 25th, Christmas Day, and ending on the
evening of January 5th, or the Twelfth Day of Christmas. January
6th, the day after the Twelve Days of Christmas, is known as
Epiphany.
“The Twelve Days of Christmas” is an English Christmas
carol featuring a series of increasingly grandiose gifts given on
each of the twelve days of Christmas. Although it was first
published in England in 1780, there is some evidence that the song
may be French in origin.
“The Twelve Days of Christmas” has been one of the most
popular and most-recorded Christmas songs throughout the past
century. There are slightly different versions (including one of my
favorites from Straight No Chaser).
For an example of lyrics, see
here.
While the twelve days officially starts on Christmas day, we’re
changing the rules a little with this series—The 12 days of
Caching.
On the Eighth Day of Caching
my true love found for me,
eight trackables to move,
seven first to find prizes,
six possibilities,
a five difficulty puzzle,
a four level nano,
a three terrain hide,
a two stage multi,
and an ammo can under a tree.
Included as one of the trackables to move is an unactivated
Nebraska geocoin for the FTF prize.
