Geocache Description:

Coordinates: Please Note the above Coordinates are not for the cache, they indicate a convenient parking spot once you have visited “Barefoot in the Park” & “Sir Thomas” to find the actual coordinates for this cache.

This cache is named after Cadel Evans arguably the greatest Australian Cyclist ever. Before his recent fame gained by his podium finishes in the Tour De France, he started his career in Mountain bike racing. In fact he won the Mountain Bike World Cup in 1998 & 1999.

My mate John says that “Cadel owes much of his success to him”, at a crucial time in Cadel’s career, when he was just a “wee Lad”, John stopped and lent him his bike pump so Cadel could finish an important race. Who knows what effect pushing his bike home may have had on the future career of a young impressionable boy?

GZ is approximately 800m along a fire trail and a little single track, from convenient parking near Kings Falls Bridge.
The single track is often used by MTB’s so keep an eye out and be prepared to give way. Thanks
