Tape worm: Thank you everybody for coming. My parent's even came to see just what they hear about and learned alot, instead of thinking I'm nut's for looking for tupperware out in the wood's.[:D] There's alot more in store yet this year, and caches are popping up. Thanks for all the Chili. Yum!!!!! It was perfect for such a cold day.

Hawkeye Area Council Kick Off Event and Caching 101 Class



2010 is an exciting year and we have a major milestone that we where honored as they look for us and want to included caching actives to help celebrate the boy scout's 100th year Anniversary. Being an Eagle Scout myself, said yes this is a great thing for us to to and they kind of go hand in hand in learning about the outdoors and getting out and enjoying all the park system's and wildlife area's. So please come and help us kick this thing off proper!!!! We will have some raffle prizes to give away as well.

We will also be holding a Caching 101 class, for those with question's, new to the game, those that want a refresher, and well something for everybody.

Which will be headed up by our famous Supergoober

With just maybe a little help from me.



This will be a pot luck, and please bring a dish to share with everybody. Chili would be a great idea this time of the year. :) We will provide, bowl's, paper plates, and cup's and silverware. Please bring your own beverage, No "adult beverage's" please. There will be a few temp caches placed around Kent park for this and we can give you the cord's at the event, or once they are placed I will make the information available.

The Facility does have wifi, so if you have some question's about your computer side of thing's and it's a laptop, bring it along. Again everybody is welcome so if your an experienced cacher come on out as well. We will also be showing off the "New" Iowageocachers.org website, so if you have question's after it launches on the 1st, this would be a great thing to bring up here.

The topic's will include a introduction to the Geocaching Website. The history of geocaching, and how to get started in geocaching with finding and hiding caches. Plus I'm sure the good doctor has a great presentation for us. I do ask that during the presentation please keep quite and raise your hand's if you have a question, so everybody can hear.

In your will attend please post what you wish to bring to the potluck so we can make sure we have a well rounded selection.
