Got cabin fever? Longing to get outside and do some geocaching? Join us for some fun, food, and friends.
What: Potluck Lunch
Where: Woodpecker Lodge at Pinicon Ridge Park
When: Saturday, January 30th 2010. Lodge opens at 11:00 AM. Lunch and door prizes about noon. Lodge closes 4:00 PM.
The Woodpecker Lodge is a heated facility with a refrigerator, sink, stove, oven, and restrooms. The hosts will provide stew, paper bowls, plates, napkins, and plastic table service. Please bring a snack, side dish, or dessert to share, and your own beverage.
The sledding hill just outside the lodge is a lot of fun, but it can be fast, so if you bring a sled or toboggan please be careful and sled at your own risk.
There are several caches in the area and we hope to have a couple of new ones just before the event.
In the event of EXTREME weather, we will post a cancellation note here by 8:00 AM the day of the event.
We’re looking forward to seeing our geocaching friends and meeting new ones. Winter in Iowa CAN be fun!
