Geocache Description:

PLEASE NOTE: Cache has been replaced with minor change in Co-ordinates. - - - In the Matthews Nature Reserve, easy walking trails. Cache should be easily accessible even in deep winter snows.

The Matthews Nature Reserve is land which is co-operatively managed by The Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority, by York Region, and by The Nature Conservancy of Canada. The walking trails are free to enjoy by individuals. Natural vegetation should not be altered nor significantly disturbed. Motorized vehicles are not permitted, and the area is not very suitable for wheelchairs. I believe this is the first cache to be placed in this nature reserve. This cache contains a travel bug (at the start) and a few trinkets for children. This is a great spot to take the family for some easy trail walking. There is one area of low ground that may be quite wet for a few days following rainfall. The cache is well away from the low area.
