The
Arona community has restored several old mountain paths for
tourism. With this multicache you will first follow the
"Topo" and then the "Suárez" paths which can be combined to
make a spectacular walk around the Roque Imoque. The total
length of the walk is about 10 km when you start from the
village of Arona and it takes about four hours. The height
difference is from 534 to 972 meters. Park your car at
waypoint PA. If you come by bus from Los Cristianos, line 480
stops at N28 05.894 W16 40.890, close to the first
waypoint.
I1: You will find two statues (ABCD = year of inauguration of
the smallest statue). From the town square, you can walk or drive
~1 km to the start of the track at I2 where there is a small
parking for 2-3 cars.
I3: What do you see here? A fig tree (E=0), a chapel (E=13) or a
bridge (E=26). About 75 meters further where the road splits,
follow the "Topo" track (green marks) on your right to the next
waypoint .
I4: This is a reference point only. Here you see a pressure
release mechanism. Since the water pressure increases by 1 bar,
every 10 m downhill, tubes would burst without this release
mechanism.
I5: F = the house number of this building. Continue for about
300m and descend into the barranco towards reference point I6 where
the walk continues on the "Suárez" track. When you leave the
barranco, continue towards waypoint I7 where you find an old
threshing floor.
I8: Go to N28 06.(B-A)30 W16 41.6(B-C)2. What
do you see here? A cave (G=5), a threshing floor (G=3) or an
aqueduct (G=1)

- Take food and enough water.

carretera se bifurca, sigue la "vía Topo" (marcas de color verde) a
la derecha al próximo punto de referencia.
I4: Esto es un punto de referencia sólo. Puesto que la presión
de agua aumenta con 1 bar, cada 10 m en declive, los tubos
estallarían sin este mecanismo de reducción..
I5: F = el número de casa de este edificio. Continúe acerca de
300m y descienda en el barranco hacia punto de referencia I6 donde
la caminata continúa el sendero de "Suárez". Cuando deja el
barranco, continúe hacia el punto de referencia I7 donde encuentra
una era vieja.

POR SU SEGURIDAD
- Camine siempre en compañía y si le es posible lleve consigo un
teléfono móvil.
- Lleve bastante agua y alimentos de reserva.
- El calzado debe ser adecuados para la dificultad del
recorrido.
