With SNEGeocachers Meet & Eat 36
coming up I decided to place a new cache just one exit up 128. this
should be a quick grab for most cachers.
Lake Q
Lake Quannapowitt in Wakefield, MA, is just off Route 128. The lake
offers numerous recreational opportunities, including a lovely four
mile walk around the scenic body of water. A pretty town green,
open park land and a playground offer additional scenic and
recreational opportunities at this jewel in the middle of northwest
suburbia.
The Cache
Parking is easy, just off the rotary at N42 31.426 W71 04.814. from
there proceed down Quannapowitt Parkway until you see the root
system of a large downed tree. From there it is less than 250 feet
to the cache. Now, where is the cache? Well, it is wet in the area
so make sure you are wearing appropriate foot gear.
