In this section of the Israel national trail, there are actually
two different paths for the trail. This cache is located on the old
route of the trail. The new path go east, through the Arava, but
many still choose the old path which is shorter.
This section of the trail, from the Ammonites wall in the Ramon
crater to Wadi Faran is about 15 km long. A major difficulty is
that it is almost impossible to find any shadow on this section,
which is empty of any trees. The cache site is a memorial which is
located in the middle of nothing. This memorial is probably the
only piece of shadow you'll find for many kilometers. You can also
stop here with your car, on your way to or from Eilat.
The cache is 180ml L&L container. Its original content is
log, card deck, Led torch key holder, marble and smiley (please
bring your own pen).
IMPORTANT:
1. The road and the trail are passing here between military firing
zones. Keep walking on the trail (it passes very close to the
road).
2. Rocks are the home of snakes and scorpions. Especially in the
desert, it is a good habbit to avoid putting your hand into places
you can't see. Use a stick and electric torch to look into
holes
