Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
This cache involves a hike through Valles Canyon as well as a
portion of Broad Canyon in the Sierra de las Uvas. This is a pretty
easy hike with little elevation change. You will follow the jeep
trail or drainage through Valles Canyon until it dead-ends in Broad
Canyon where you will turn right (east) toward the cache. (Final
coordinates should be ~.5 miles from the intersection of the 2
canyons.)
Turn right off of D012 and follow this road as it heads toward the
canyon. 2-WD vehicles may want to park close by while 4-WD can
drive about 2 miles into the canyon, parking where the road
suddenly veers off to the west (~.5 m from Stage 2). The total
round trip distance is about 6 miles for those with 2-WD vehicles
and 2.5 miles for those with 4-WD.
This is a 3-stage multi-cache. The first 2 stages contain no
physical containers; rather, certain attributes of those locations
will help you to get the final coordinates. (Use the key below.)
NOTE: Stage 1 is at the listed coordinates for this cache. Stage 2
coordinates are listed below in the Additional Waypoints
table.
