Noble Hill
Highway 13 is the major route between Springfield and
Kansas City. It has undergone many changes over the years. In 2008
MODOT began a project to add new north bound lanes next to the much
straighter south bound lanes. Part of this work is complete and was
opened to traffic earlier this year. The old road, now renamed,
serves local traffic. There are several Dead Ends, closed
crossroads, many shiny new guard rails, and lots of bright red
diamonds! How could I resist placing some caches? This cache is
located near the Noble Hill Church. I can remember when this was a
small country church along side a 2 lane highway. Then it was
between the North and South bound lanes, and now it is a bit cut
off from the main road.
