Deep Dark Forest Mystery Cache

Deep Dark Forest is a cache in a mysterious little forest off Pond Mills Road near Thompson Road. Parking is available on the street in front of 457 Scenic Drive, just uphill from the forest, which is the location of the initial coordinates above. There is a bus stop on Pond Mills Road at the foot of Scenic Drive. The cache is not at either of these locations, but in the forest down the hill and across the street.

This forest is hidden along the side of Pond Mills Road in east London, next to the south side of the Thames River, and has some interesting features. It is a dense pine forest, not yet fully mature. There are interspersed some snaky winding Manitoba maple trees, some seemingly growing from the roots of the pines. Just west of the GZ is a hobo campsite, which looks like it was used during the summer and fall of 2009, abandoned now due to the cold weather. There is the usual urban forest trash, including a shopping cart right in the middle of the forest! If you feel inspired, there are a few tires, chairs, and assorted other items that should be CITOed out. Maybe in the spring.
