A short series of 6 caches on the lanes and paths around Whalley Nab, about 1 and three quarter mile in length with a steep beginning.
This is our first time at placing a cache, and hope it works out ok. We have thought for some time that there is a shortage of caches around the Whalley area, therefore we have laid a series of 5 around Whalley Nab. They are in small lock‘n’ lock’ boxes, each containing log book, pencil and a couple of small items. One will contain ‘Noddy’ our first Travel bug.
Expect it to be muddy in parts, so wear appropriate footwear.
Moor Lane from Whalley is a very narrow and steep lane with parking practically non existent, I suggest roadside parking at N.53’ 49.109 W.002’ 24.534 . Or better still, the Pub/Thai Restaurant car park, N. 53’ 49.108 W. 002’ 24.631, and walk the short distance down to Moor Lane, (permission has been obtained from the owner of the hotel) ... And you can always call in for refreshment afterwards......ENJOY.
