I was slogging up the hill in the fog and rain when I saw this apparition in the clouds. It turns out to be a genuine old-fashioned windmill for pumping water!
I walked past the "Private Property Ahead" sign, while not passing the "Stop, Private Property" to take this picture. The windmill was spinning quite well on this blustery day, though no longer connected to a pump. If you look carefully at the tail, you'll see that it's imprinted with the name of this cache. Apparently Dempster has been in business since 1878 and still makes windmills (in Beatrice Nebraska)!
