Geocache Description:

This is a lovely ramble on a good track which runs up from Blackford through the Ochills to Glen Devon.
The parking is just off the A9 at Blackford where there are shops, cafe and distillery and the Highland Spring factory.
This cache is not far up the hill so could be done on its own for those short of time. The water for the distillery and spring water bottling is taken from boreholes which you will see on the way up the hill.

The 6.5 mile walk is described from Blackford with parking at N 56 15.414 W 003 47.020. It is on a good landrover track all the way up to the top of Glen of Kinpauch, from there it is more grassy but still easy going. I took the North route along Upper Glendevon reservoir which is a small hill path. From the Dam at Upper Glendevon there is a single track tarmac road all the way down to the parking at Glen Devon/Glen Eagles. Coming from the A9 take the A823 and turn off at the top of the glen where you see blue railings. It is signposted to Frandy Fishery.
This road is private but there is ample parking just after the cattle grid.

There are many ways of tackling this route and I will leave it up to you, but make sure you have appropriate gear for the expected conditions. As you are going up the glens, rather than the tops this is a good walk for Winter.
It would be possible to mountainbike this route (if you have the lungs for Glen of Kinpauch), but the section from there along the reservoir is technical single track only suitable for advanced riders. This is a pity as the bike is a great way of getting back along the tarmac road - it is a really nice ride.
The other option is to dump a bike at the reservoir.
