Geocache Description:

Join the Tulsa Area Geocachers January 23rd when Philbrook Museum hosts our monthly meeting.

Meeting Time: 12:30pm

Philbrook Museum of Art is one of Tulsa’s Cultural Landmarks. Gifted to the City of Tulsa in 1938 by Waite Phillips, the 72-room mansion and surrounding 23 acres of grounds is now one of America's finest art museums. The Museum hosts many educational and cultural programs and have even placed a permanent Geocache on the grounds.

The official meeting will take place at 12:30 in the CPW meeting room just off the la Villa Restaurant. Feel free to attend just the meeting, or arrive earlier and enjoy some of the restaurants' fine cuisine before the meeting. Preview the la Villa menu.

There is no fee for the TAG meeting. When you arrive at the reception desk tell them you are here for the TAG Geocaching meeting.

Our meeting discussion will include brief announcements, a review of upcoming events, and then a discussion of Puzzle and Mystery caches, including the MUSE cache on the grounds of Philbrook.

After the meeting feel free to locate this cache, tour the grounds, or join in a docent led tour of the museum beginning at 2pm. This would also be a great opportunity to view the special exhibit of paintings from the Eugene B. Adkins “A Passion for the West”, on display through January 31st.

Anyone with an interest in Geocaching is welcome; novice, beginner or seasoned veteran. Come share questions, stories, advice and insight. You don’t have to have a GPSr to attend. Meeting other local cachers is a great way to enhance your geocaching experience.
