Another walk on Brins Mesa. Terrain is trailed to start, then a herd path. If you don't like heights the final may not be for you.
New owner note: 2/1/21 we made the trek up to this spot and eloped! It's our favorite spot in Sedona and we have hiked up and eaten sandwiches at the top enjoying the view many times. Now it's extra special to us and the past cache owner transferred the cache to me so I could maintain the spot! I hope you enjoy <3 This cache was actually placed about a year ago, but I deleted the co-ordinates out of my GPS by mistake
I finally made it back here to get the correct co-ords for this cache, and so now its time to publish it!
This is another favorite walk in the Brins Mesa Area, and you can start at the Brins Mesa Trailhead in Up Town Sedona. Once you reach the top of the mesa is where this cache comes into its own. As soon as you crest the ridge start working your way out to your right. There is a herd path that will take you very close to the cache, or you can bush whack your way across the top of the mesa.
There is lots of fire damage in evidence along your way, when we first visited this area there was junipers everywhere. Now the cacti have full rein. We've seen havellina and coyote up here as well as deer.
At the cache you'll be rewarded with an excellent lunch spot, and more views of the soldiers pass area and the backside of Wilson Mountain.

Notes: Its about a 2 mile walk out to the cache from the parking lot, and at publishing there was nothing in the cache but a log, there is room for small items, if you'd wish, but you need to BYOP.
