Orange Butte - (Cochise County Arizona) Is located at the western edge of the Peloncillo Mountains. This area includes great views of Mt. Graham, The Chirichua Mountains, and the Whitlock Mountains. Easiest access is from Interstate 10, and Bowie, Arizona (Exits 364 or 366). When in Bowie, Turn north on Central Avenue (N 32° 19.590', W 109° 29.226') and drive approximately 2 miles to Fan Road (N 32° 21.265', W 109° 29.048'). At this point the road turns into an improved dirt road, and you can utilize your GPS to guide you the rest of the way to the cache (approximately 15 miles additional traveling distance, from this point). This road is 2WD and well maintained, and should be drive-able by most cars. However good ground clearance is recommended in a couple of areas. Maps of the area include this road, and additional access can be located in San Simon, Arizona (I-10, Exit 378) on Indian Springs Road.
The cache is contained in a green ammo can, and contains item for both kids and adults. It is located about .25 mile from the main road/parking area, and is easy to locate and walk to.
