Geocache Description:


The Hiawatha Bearskin Trail goes from Tomahawk, Wisconsin to Minocqua, Wisconsin. An interesting fact is Minocqua is one of only two cities in Wisconsin that end in “qua.” You can negotiate the trail by hiking, bicycling, and snowmobile. If you hike you will not need a Trail Pass. The cache is located along the trail south of South Blue Lake. a convenient place to park is at coordinates N45 45.553, W089 41.895. The section of the trail you will go on has a high population of Bald Eagles. If you do not see one you can head north on the trail to a rest stop at South Blue Lake and you are apt to see one across the lake in a tree near the sandbar as they sit there ready to fish. Be stealthy when nearing the cache as Mugglers can be around during the busy times. Grab the cache and move away from the stash area to log in and enjoy. The cache is a Rubbermaid type container that is cameoed. When replacing the cache be CAREFULL! The original contents of the cache are a bounce ball, a Christmas pin, a football hackey sack, a basketball hackey sack, and 2 Georges for FTF. Good Luck and please sign the log.
