This is a simple cache to show you the best views of Lake Macquarie and the coast.
The cache is situated at Heatons Lookout in the Watagan Mountains. The lookout is named because "the small township of Heaton on the Cooranbong Road could be seen plainly from here" according to the Newcastle Morning Herald, 15th February 1973.
The lookout is situated on The Great North Walk. Make sure you take your camera and lunch and enjoy the lookout. Please post plenty of photos as this is a great spot.
The cache is a ammo can which contains a logbook pencil and swaps for the kids.
