A traditional cache that will take you to a beautiful beach with
several small caves. 350m from the parking spot – if you do a
dash and grab it should take ~30min.

Dappat se gat is also know as The Caves and is part
of the Kogelberg Biosphere Reserve. It is a beautiful small beach
away from all the hustle and bustle, which is popular with surfers
and body boarders. There are also several small caves to explore
and beautiful scenic pics to be taken. Park at the co-ords listed
and walk down to the beach - there is usually a car guard that will
look after your car while you enjoy the beach. If you want to reach
the cache with dry feet you’ll have to plan your trip not to
coincide with high tide. Early mornings are absolutely magical
here.
This cache is about the location so we’ll make the hint
fairly descriptive. The container is probably not the most
practical for this wet environment, but hey you need a treasure
chest for a treasure! It is in a sealable bag to try and keep the
moisture out and fits pretty tightly in its little hidey hole, so
please be careful not to tear it when removing and replacing it.
Please also try to trade “treasury type” swag.
Happy caching!
