Quick cache Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

raypfaff: Bummer. I knew that the location was destined to be an athletic field and I noticed on Monday that there were work crews right on the spot where I placed the cache. Out of about 10 acres, they had to start construction within 10 feet of the spot.

Geocache Description:

Some more park property that you didn't know existed.

This is some park property that Fairfax county recently aquired. It's interesting because I never see anyone on it. Parking is very limited, you should try N 38° 52.737' W 77° 28.251'. The cache is in a glad trash bag container (similar to a tupperware container) with a white lid and is sitting on it's side so that it's not as easy to spot. Two safety hints. The cache is on the left side of the path, so there is no need to go to the right. There are the remainents of a home to the right of the path and therefore a lot of trash and possibly glass and such. Second, unless you're one of those people that _must_ beeline their way to the cache, you don't need to be standing in the tall grass. If you're standing in the really tall stuff looking, you're looking in the wrong spot. Also, it's called quick cache because the site is going to become an athletic field. I may have to go recover it whenever construction starts, so it would be in your best interest to check to see if the site has been archived before going to the location.
