Nancegollan Tin Mine Traditional Cache
Hanoosh: As this cache has not been found for ages and it is evident the CO is no longer caching having not logged on in over a year, I am archiving it.

This little mine was found by me and sarlander when we were out
caching, and thought it was well worth a cache! The cache is a
cache and dash with the cache being 350ft from the parking
co-ords.
The cache is placed at Nancegollan mine, it was in operation
between 1853 and 1870. The mine was fairly unproductive the only
record of output being 6 Tonnes of black tin in 1854. The narrow
lodes were thought to carry cassiterite, wolfram, pyrite and
fluorspar but not sufficiently rich to support deep mining. We hope
you enjoy looking around the engine pumping house as much as we
did!
