Alamo Heights if full of geocaching activity.Being an old
neighborhood there is many places that are accessible by walking on
sidewalks or grass. Because of this a travel bug hotel was created
to let geocachers drop off bugs and take them. If someone you know
is going somewhere tell them to pickup a few bugs on their way out
of town. This cache also acts as a geocoin exchange location along
with it's "hotel function".
While hunting, enjoy the urban island. There used to be a exxon
gas station here about five years ago. The Mcnay Art Museum
expanded and purchased this property to advertise and welcome guest
to the grounds. Those big signs might be the answer to your
frustration in finding the cache.
Please do not take travel bugs unless you are planning on
dropping them off in a far away cache outside of the 78209 area.
