Hondón de las Nieves
Se asienta en un pequeño valle situado en la comarca del Medio Vinalopó, en el interior de la provincia de Alicante, a 35 Km. de la capital. El pueblo se encuentra ubicado a 367 m. de altitud sobre el nivel del mar. Su extensión es de 68,9 Km2 y cuenta con una población de aproximadamente 2.000 habitantes. El municipio tiene como telón de fondo, la magnífica silueta de la Sierra de Crevillente que alcanza los 837 m. de altitud, cuya frondosa vegetación de pinar se perfila sobre el paisaje rural de los almendros, de las olivos y de las viñas.

Cuando llegamos a Hondón de las Nieves, nos encontramos con la Plaza de la Villa, plaza típica mediterránea rodeada de palmeras y llena del colorido que proporcionan las fachadas de algunas de sus casas más antiguas, entre ellas el Ayuntamiento.

En un altiplano cerrado entre las sierras de El Algaiat al norte, La Ofra y Ors al este, Crevillente al sur y Los Frailes o La Solana y Cofer (Jover) al oeste. Este conjunto forma un amplio valle que invita a pasear por sus caminos, ya sea a pie o en bicicleta, tanto en verano como durante sus soleados y suaves inviernos. Al adentrarnos en esta valle, nos sorprende el fuerte contraste entre umbrías y solanas.

La vista se siente atraída por el verde frescor de la umbría de la Sierra de Crevillente, que rompe con la generalizada aridez de la comarca No sorprende que la Sierra de Crevillente haya sido declarada LIC (Lugar de Interés Comunitario), para formar parte de la Red Natura 2000, la cual engloba una representación de todos los ecosistemas europeos para su protección.

EL CACHE

Es un micro y esta ubicado en un pequeño jardín al lado de una famosa bodega cuyo interior se convierte a la vez en museo.

HONDON DE LAS NIEVES
It sits in a small valley in the region of Middle Vinalopó, inside province Alicante, 35 km from the capital. The village is located to 367 m. of altitude above sea level.  Its area is 68.9 km2 and has a population of approximately 2,000 inhabitants. The  municipality has the background, the magnificent silhouette of the Sierra de Crevillente it reaches the 837 m. altitude, whose lush vegetation of pines comes against the rural landscape of almond trees, the olive trees and vineyards. When we arrived in Hondon de las Nieves, we find the Plaza de la Villa, plaza typical  Mediterranean palm trees and filled with colorful facades that provide some of their  older houses, including the Town Hall.  Closed on a high plateau between the mountains of the north Algaiat, Ofra and Ors the east, south the Crevillente, Friars or La Solana and Cofer (Jover) west. This set forms a broad valley that invites strolling by his ways, either on foot or by bike in summer and during sunny and mild winters. All get into this valley, we are surprised the stark contrast between shaded and sunny. The light is attracted to the green coolness of the shade of the Sierra de Crevillente, which breaks with the widespread aridity of the region is not surprising that the Sierra de Crevillente LIC has been declared (Site of Community Interest), to form part of the Natura 2000 network, which covers a representation of all European ecosystems for its protection.
