This is a Christmas-themed cache, placed two days before Christmas, 2009. Located in the Palisades Park, a nature conservation area, that we recently discovered while geocaching. Enjoy the fabulous views of town from this natural area! As requested by the Palisades Association, please stay on the trails, don't just follow "the arrow" on your GPSr.
After two record-breaking snowy years, our family is hoping for snow this year! This is a cache that should be available to find, even in deep snow. It is filled with a variety of Christmas items. For this cache, we are asking that only Christmas-type items get left. You are welcome to take something, even if you don't have something to leave. We're interested in spreading holiday joy! (Travel bugs and geo-coins are an exception to this request and are most welcome!) Cache is green, should be easy to find and is very kid-appropriate!
Driving Directions: From I-90 take Maple Street exit (280), Go north on Walnut Street. Turn left on 2nd Avenue. Continue west on Sunset Boulevard approximately 1 mile. Turn right on Government Way for 1 mile, then turn left on Greenwood Road. Property is located on the northwest corner of Greenwood Road and Rimrock Drive.
Cache contents: a variety of Christmas items, including a Santa duck, recipe cards, ornaments, festive tissues, holiday craft kit, holiday necklace, holiday temporary tattoos, etc...
