Geocache Description:

Another in the area I call the Redmond Backcountry. There is a bunch of trails back here that I use once in a while when I want that get-away feeling and don't have time to drive to the mountains.

The cache is located at a trail intersection where there is a three trunked maple that looks like it would be a perfect spot to build a tree fort. And it's apparent that others thought the same due to the many old rusty nails in one of the trunks that appear to be the remnants of a wood board ladder. Look up and you'll see one of the old beams still hanging on.

The Cache

A black bison that only holds a log so bring a pen. It's in plain sight from some parts of the trail.

Use Care and Be Prepared

There are multiple access points for this area. Some of the nearest access points have boardwalks that are very slippery when wet. Be very careful as they are so slippery that it's literally like walking on ice. Most have now been covered with chicken wire for traction but it is narrow so you must take care not to step off of it. In the Backcountry you will be on dirt trails and, depending on your route, you may encounter hills, some small areas of mud and uneven ground. Be sure to come prepared.
