This cache is located near the Innis Methodist Chapel and former Quaker cemetery, built in 1820 by William O’Bryan founder of the Bible Christian Methodist movement. There is a small collection of memorabilia in the chapel which includes a case formally belonging to William, which contains his bible and other artefacts. O’Bryan’s Quaker forefathers, the Groses, farmed Innis and the graveyard was already established when O’Bryan acquired the land.
Thomasine Bryant, O’Bryan’s mother, was buried here in 1821 and he erected a gravestone for her in 1836 (third from the door).
There is plenty of parking on site however the road down is a bit pot holey !! There are great views towards the "Cornish Alps" and also lots of footpaths around which provide some lovely flat walks for all those geopups !! This cache is placed with the kind permission of the chapel steward.
CONGRATULATIONS to Caching-in-the-kids-inheritance on being FTF and on this being your 500th find !!
