On an island in Kawhia Harbour
This is the largest island in the harbour but is surrounded on all sides by sand "flats" at all but the highest tides. We camped on it once and walked from it to the mainland to the pancake rocks and the next door beach (where there is a toilet up the bank in the trees). We have kayaked there but this time sailed in the Laser. An interesting island to explore. There is no water there.
We take about an hour to get there, or back, depending if we are exploring the harbour and moving to another campsite.
Cache is a click plastic container with: launch, Captain Hook on a surf board, what appears to be a piece of space debris, tea spoon, dog clip, 1 little person.
