Blackstar Geo-Trash Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Dominic: Thanks for informing me of this vague and subjective rule. I am archiving this cache to meet your expectations.

Thanks to all who have visited this cache and my earlier caches. I hope you have enjoyed it.

I know that this hobby has evolved immensely since my caches were placed. It is too bad that the rules have become so ambiguous and subjective as to take some of the fun out of the hobby. Geocaching now takes a bureacracy to manage so I would hope that those now running and managing this hobby can do so in a way that is humble, transparent and nonconfrontational.

Geocache Description:

This is a very easy fun cache, about 2 miles one way and on the trail. Ground is level, but bring water on a hot day. It will take about 1 hour to arrive near the cache. This is an excellent cache for a bicycle ride.

The only hint you will find for this cache is in the name of the cache! Hike this one to find out what it means:)

To get to the parking area take Santiago Canyon Road to Silverado Canyon Road, then immediately make a left on Blackstar Canyon Road. Take Blackstar until it dead-ends at the gate and park near the gate. Hike the unmaintained Blackstar road/path. Do not be concerned about the no-trespassing signs since they refer to the properties on the sides of the road. Pedestrians have right-of-way on the pathway.

The cache is a clear plastic breadloaf container, the size of a 1 1/2lb loaf.

Happy geocaching!
