I wanted to place a cache here because it felt fitting since my name is Michael and I am from this peaceful village referred to by the locals as “God’s Country.”
All villages on Guam honor their respective patron saint every year. This cache is dedicated to the patron saint of Talofofo that is also known as the defender against all things evil. Saint Michael is also considered in many Christian circles as the patron saint of the warrior. Police officers and soldiers, particularly paratroopers and fighter pilots, regard him as their patron also.
The prayer below is recited at the end of each mass celebration here at the San Miguel Parish.
