in our disclaimer.
We have been caching for 5 years now so it time for us to earn some carbon credits by hosting a CITO event.
Bring gloves and bags. We will have a trailer organised at the end point and a BBQ after.
Park (if coming by car) in Settlers Crescent and walk through the carpark to GZ, the car park is private so no parking there. Be ready for a 3:00pm start and an approximate 4:00pm finish. BBQ will start at 4:30pm.
We are going to clean up some of the walkway that runs adjacent the Heathcote river. How far up river we all get depends upon how much rubbish there is.
There are a couple of caches along the way so be sure to do your research before hand if you haven't cached this part of town before.
You need to bring gloves and some bags for rubbish. Sunscreen and a jacket are also recommended as the event is going ahead rain, hail or shine. As this section of the Heathcote has been polluted by past users and also some of todays activity we need to be careful about our own health.
For the BBQ bring what ever you like burnt to a crisp and some cold drink. BBQ at our house S43 32.845 E172 39.977 (its #70)
Our first ever cache was Cob by the Sallies which we did on the 15th of January 2005, Cob is just over the water from the GZ for this event. For interest we find about the same number of caches every year. 5 years passes by so fast and there have been many changes to our lives, caches and how we cache.
See you all there on the 24th.
