A traditional cache, only a short scramble from the car door.
This cache is hidden on the back road between Lake Ruataniwha and Lake Ohau. The road is shingle all the way and a wee bit rough in places but should be fine for 2 wheel drive vehicles as long as you slow down for the rough bits.
Great views of the Ohau river. Imagine what it must have been like before most of its flow was diverted down the canal. Must have had some wild floods at times.
