This is a very scenic park sitting along the Rum River. The park
features a diversity of river, prairie, and woodland settings
covering 434 acres. It also provides a wide-array of outdoor
recreation and access to the pristine Rum River canoe route.
All motorized vehicles are required to purchase a vehicle entry
permit to the regional parks. Annual permits are available for $25,
good for one year from date of purchase. Daily permits are
available for $5 per day. The annual permit is honored at all Anoka
County Regional Parks as well as regional parks in Washington and
Carver counties.
During the winter many of the hiking trails become groomed
trails for cross-country skiing. Hiking is NOT allowed on the
groomed ski trails during the winter. Please plan accordingly.
If you do come here to ski, a State of Minnesota cross-country ski
trail pass must be in possession by each ski trail user.
Daily ski trail passes cost $5.00 per person and can be
purchased at the Bunker Hills Campground building, Chomonix Golf
Course clubhouse building, Coon Rapids Dam visitor center building,
and Bunker Hills Activity Center building. They are NOT
available at Rum River Central Regional Park.
Season ski trail passes must be purchased through the
Minnesota Department of Natural Resources.
