One cold day in Wisconsin, I was sluffing off while getting ready
for school. I had to finish my High school math before
school starts, because it is my first class. Sitting at my desk I
began to daydream about a nice warm weekend full of activity. My
favorite is caching in places close to lakes. I was walking along a
path closing in on a cache, when I was awakened by a picture of
myself Falling off a cliff. Whew, I'm not worried, it
was only a dream.
Next thing I knew, my cell phone was ringing, it was my buddy. I
answered it and he says," Do you know When does school
start? " I told him "yeah, at 8:05". He says "well that must be
in the book not written because it starts at 7:55 and you missed
the bus".
I grabed my things and ran out the door. Off I went Walking to
school, I began thinking if this is not a boys life I don't
know what is. Going from a wonderful dream of a warm summer
weekend, then being slaped in the face with a cold Wisconsin
January wind and brought back to reality into what seems like
The coldest place on earth.
I made it to school just as the bell was ringing. Man I can't wait
until summertime so I can do my favorite weekend activity.
