Geocache Description:

Small sized clip lock box found tucked away just off the footpath. Some searching may be required.

BE CAREFUL OF THE BARBED WIRE AS YOU GO FOR THE CACHE

I HAVE CUT THE BARBED WIRE SO SHOULD BE OK ON MORE TRIPPING

I placed this cache while out on a trip to catch a number of caches along a route from the Three Horseshoes Pub at WInkwell, along the Grand Union Canal along to Berkhamsted Castle (and back!) I come to this part of the world fairly regularly as I have friends who live on one of the boats moored at the boat yard opposite and drink with them in the Three Horseshoes once or twice a week. There is ample parking thanks to the Three Horseshoes (and I recommend stopping for a quick drink either to plan your route or toast a successful trip). If you choose to start your day at this cache, you can travel in either direction along the canal to collect a handful of other caches and take in some spectacular views. Contents of the cache: - Logbook - Pencil For more information about my caching exploits, visit my blog at www.cache-machine.co.uk.
