A cache is placed between Nishikujo Station and the Ajigawa Tunnel going under the Ajigawa River.
Do you wanna go underground on foot? Yes you can!! Not only underground but it is under the river.
The Ajigawa Tunnel was constructed in 1944 by the caisson method for the first time in Japan. (visit link) The tunnel is dedicated for pedestrians -- and also bicycles. On the both end, it has elevators to bring you up and down between ground and underound. It is quite an exciting experience if you have never been there.
A cache is placed midway between Nishikujo Station and the tunnel to welcome you geocachers. Take JR or Hanshin Railway to come up to Nishikujo.
