Off of the side if the road, but watch your feet, heavy undergrowth
It's a traditional cache just waiting for a drive by find. Has some small items for the kids in it, ment to be kid friendly as the location is. Easy to find, careful where you walk here as the undergrowth is thick, you don't needto go over the fence. The near by place is a fun place to stay over, it was established by the Scout Association in 1972, after acquiring the property (22 h.a.) from the adjoining landowner. The campsite is on the banks of the Woolshed Creek and in the early days of white settlement was a stopping over watering point for drovers moving mobs of sheep from Port Lincoln to Streaky Bay.
The name was taken from the yacht owned by the Henry Rymill, Chief Commissioner of Scouts at the time, and he regularly sailed the boat to Port Lincoln from Adelaide and took Scouts out sailing on Boston Bay.
The name itself is derived from the white eyed native duck '______ Australis'.
May be you could use this as a stop over before reaching Port Lincoln or to get away from Port Lincoln.
So if it's to far to home or easier to stay & sleep.
