In 1889 Johannes Puhk got permission to build a match-factory on the lands of the Viljandi Church manor. There was a time when Puhk’s matches were known all over Estonia. Unfortunately the factory burned down and in november 1904 a new match factory was founded by Eduard Pohl.It is the only one out of the original 4 match factories in Estonia, still operating. Factory produces consumer matches, houshold matches, souvenir matches, long matches (170 and 295 mm) and barbecue matches.
The match factory has entered the Guinness Book of Records for making the world’s largest matchstick, measured 6.235 m (20 ft 5 in) long with a cross section of 27.5 cm (10.8 in). It was unveiled and struck at the Ugala Theatre, Viljandi, Estonia on 27 November 2004.
The coordinates lead you to the main gate of Viljandi Match Factory. Look through the gate. You will see a one-storeyed building with two large doors. Remember the number of windows between the doors.
The second place you`ll have to visit, is a market square (N58°22.018' E25°35.618'), renovated in 2009. Around the parking lot a new lampposts were placed, that symbolize burned-out matches. Count the lampposts and multiply by the number of windows. This will be A.

As the products of Viljandi Match Factory are always transported by trains, the final point is slightly connected with trains too.
Johannes Puhk asutab 1889 aastal Viljandisse tikuvabriku. Tootma hakatakse püssirohutikke. Tehas põleb ühel hetkel maha. ja 1904a. novembris antakse luba uue vabriku ehitamiseks. Uue vabriku looja on Eduard Pohl. Selleaegsed tehasehooned on säilinud tänaseni. Need on madalad ja tagasihoidlikud ehitised, mida tasapisi remonditakse. Kõige tähtsam on see, et tehas töötab. Majapidamis tikkude tootmine on üle viidud Indiasse. Viljandi vabrikus toodetakse kaminatikke ja kõiksugu sorti küünlaid.
2005a. novembri lõpul süüdati Viljandis Ugala teatri ees 6m ja 28cm pikkune tuletikk. Sellega tähistati tikuvabriku sajandat sünnipäeva ja üritati hiigeltiku süütamisega pääseda ka Guinnessi rekordite raamatusse.
Koordinaadid juhatavad tikuvabriku peavärava juurde. Vaadake väravast läbi. Te näete ühekordset hoonet, millel on kaks suurt ust. Jätke meelde aknaavade arv uste vahel. Teine punkt, mida külastada vaja, on Viljandi turuplats(N58°22.018' E25°35.618'), mis 2009a. renoveeriti. Parkla ümber paigaldati ka uued laternapostid, mis sümboliseerivad põlenud tikke.
