Geocache Description:

This cache is located along the beautiful Des Plaines River Trail in Wadsworth, Illinois. Follow the trail from the parking area for this short journey. Parking coords are listed below. The gate is open from 6:30 a.m. to sunset. PLEASE...DO NOT LEAVE TRADE ITEMS. THIS IS NOT A TRADE CACHE! YOU'LL SEE...

Women in ancient times were always excluded from the secret societies of men because they were regarded as talebearers, detrimental to men’s welfare and they were unable to keep a secret. Tribal colonies believed that women talked too much and they could reveal important tribal secrets that would endanger the safety of their people. So it was thought best to keep them out of men’s affairs entirely.

This is an antiquated superstition. Women would not have important roles as doctors, lawyers, physicians, and psychiatrists if this were true today.

It is undeniable that women talk way, way, way, way, way, way, way, too much ….but…this bad trait applies to men also. Keeping a secret requires effort, but telling it is a strong temptation as it inflates the ego. It is probably easier for some persons than others to keep “mum” with certain information, but at best it is a strain on the individual’s willpower, whether man or woman.
