Lost Creek is a tributary of the Mississippi River emptying just up river from Fort Madison near Mink Island. It had many popular swimming hole for the local rural Lee County kids growing up around Denmark and Wever. Many of these holes have since fill in.
Many Indian tribes also called this area home. Artifact are still being found in the area today.

This bridge is listed as a historic bridge of Iowa. It is a
Through Truss Bridge built in 1925 and design is riveted pratt through truss.
