This cache is located in an area that is special and important to
me. This forest has provided me with a great deal of memories.
Despite everything that goes on in life (and the fact that life
continues to move along regardless), I always know I can rely on
these woods to provide me with serene and peaceful feeling.
With that thought in mind, I wanted to give others the
opportunity to get away and enjoy a long and beautiful walk through
a very diverse section of woods. This cache is a multi-part
letterbox that will take you on a circa 2-mile roundtrip hike
through the Wyoming County Forest. The first stage is not
located at the coordinates above, however it will aid you in
starting your journey. To find the first leg of your hike, you will
need to utilize the following clues:
At the coordinates above, walk approximately 50-60 feet at a
bearing of 220 degrees into a dark and majestic stand of towering
conifers.
As you do so you should make an effort to channel your
childhood and sing the Sesame Street favorite, “One of these
trees is not like the other, one of these trees just doesn’t
belong.”
There you will soon find a tree that most certainly does not
fit the scheme…and within a 5-foot radius of that tree you
will find the coordinates for the next stage of your
journey.
All stages of this cache are located near the trail and are in
plain sight when viewed from the appropriate angle. Therefore, the
recommended course of action would be to remain on the trail for as
long as possible and to not disturb any of the surroundings when
seeking each leg. This way you will be assured an enjoyable and
serene experience. My sincerest gratitude in advance for those
people who see this place for all it’s beauty as I do.
