Congratulations to cowboy 41 for the FTF on this one,
Middle River, the Goose Capital of the North, is located 22 miles
north of Thief River Falls in Marshall County. Strategically placed
between three wildlife areas (Thief Lake Wildlife Management Area,
Agassiz National Wildlife Refuge and East Park Wildlife Management
Area), Middle River has many opportunities for wildlife viewing,
hunting, fishing, tent camping (certain areas) or taking a ride on
Wilderness Drive. Goose Fest Annual Goose Festival that is held on
the opening weekend of goose hunting. Events typically include a
parade, flea market, goose calling contest, community theater
presentation, kids games/events, a tractor pull and much more.
