Giant Windmill @ APEX Park in DONALD.
The 25 foot windmill re-erected @ APEX Park was donated to the Donald community by the Rollinson Family of Glengar.
It was installed in 1913 at the original Donald Pumping Station in Mill Street, for the town water supply.
It was later purchased by WH Gray and used at his Glengar Station for irrigation from the Richardson River.
It has been restored by Donald 2000 Committee with assistance of the Historical Society and the Community.
The Park is located between 2 bridges, North end of town.
An attractive spot with Picnic Tables, Barbeque, enclosed playground, swing bridge and toilet facilities.
A great spot to stop and have a bite to eat and stretch those legs.
