Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered, weak and
weary,
Over many a quaint and curious geocache of hidden lore
Suddenly my thoughts came rapping, with my fingers gently
tapping
Tapping out a cache for Poe, on his birthday evermore.
For it was on Jan. 19, in the year 1809, Edgar Poe was born in
Boston
Only this and nothing more.
Deep into some spruce trees peering, long I stood there, wondering,
fearing
Doubting, dreaming dreams no cacher ever dared to dream
before
But the silence was unbroken and the stillness gave no token
Tis the wind and nothing more.
Presently my soul grew stronger; hesitating then no longer,
From the north and from the west, coordinates settled in to
rest
Pointing GZ evermore.
In there flew a stately Raven of the saintly days of yore;
Thrilled me--filled me with fantastic terrors never felt
before;
But this Raven came beguiling my sad fancy into smiling
Quoth the Raven, "Nevermore."
