These once peaceful woods, where chattering
chipmunks would play, have now been invaded by those ruckus
woodland trouble makers. Every battle has its key dates, and today
is one of them; that's right chipmunks, look out! The squirrels are
coming! The squirrels are coming!
We have several squirrels that hang out in the
backyard and on the deck. They keep the boys very entertained,
hanging upside down from the bird (squirrel) feeders and jumping
between the branches with reckless abandon.
We had a great idea for a squirrel cache and after
we saw the two chipmunk caches here, we felt we had found a home
for our new cache.
Remember, you are in pretty dense forest so you're
going to get bouncy coords, so search appropriately. You are
searching for a medium sized container that is about 40 - 60 feet
off the trail. Not really bushwhacking but you will need to wander
off into the woods for the find.
There are plenty of trails in here, so there is
likely more than a few ways to get here. However, we just came
along the trail passing the two chipmunk caches. If you come this
way, during the winter you will need to do a bit of light creek
forging; nothing a set of rubber boots won't handle.
Congratulations to FobesMan on
his FTF!
